Cool Hunting: Less is More...

You know how you always want what you either don’t or cant have... well not all of the time but, sometimes right? It just seems like those certain things are just sometimes out of reach... Well, I vividly remember when I was younger having friends that were getting their noses, eyebrows, tongues and belly buttons pierced and no matter how much I annoyed and begged my parents the inevitable answer I always was faced with was a big fat NO! (which today I am thankful for) But instead I went a little pierce happy with my ears, ok not a little, A LOT pierce happy… I pretty much pierced any part of my ear that was humanly possible, I know what you're thinking- a little tacky and maybe kinda gross huh? Well gone are the days where my ears are weighted down with a mess of random piercings, granted they still exist, I can only be found wearing 2 simple studs with my left side tragus. But I did recently come across a look I am totally diggin’ by line and jo and while less is more in my world of piercings these days I am thinking this is one look I am going to adopt! Luv it! Its a simple cartilage hoop linked up with a delicate gunmental chain through the lobe, it is simply stunning in my eyes (see pic directly under blog title)
I have also included a few extra random piercing photos! Enjoy

Pamela Love: Manufacturing Badassedness!

Pamela Love- New York based jewelry designer- Edgy- Unconventional and is probably the one jewelry designer that I profoundly admire!  While here sense of style seems to dwell internally never following or conforming to any current “trends” Love believes Trends are unavoidable, and sometimes you help create them, which couldn’t be more true for Pamela! Love is not only a jewelry designer in my eyes, but a true creator manufacturing noting short of badassedness! With countless editorial spreads, I was recently inspired by one in particular, Vanity Case: Pamela Love. This spread can be found on occasion in ELLE magazine and showcases the vanity of whoever is featured that month, similar to the idea behind “whats in your closet/jewelry box” or “whats in you bag.” For an amazing peek inside Pamela Loves Brooklyn home check out this fab post by because im addicted!  Ive just got to say I luv to luv- Love, Pamela Love

Green is the New Black: Luck of the Irish

With St. Patty’s day just around the corner, 1 week around the corner to be exact, some of you may be starting to think about how you are going to celebrate this year! And while you may be considering things like carrying around a pot of gold, sipping on some green beer, or enrobing yourself in full-on green attire there are other simple less obnoxious ways to celebrate the Luck of the Irish with style. Saint Patrick is the legendary Patron Saint of Ireland and one of the most traditional symbols of St. Patrick’s Day is the shamrock, a three-leaf clover which is said to have been used by St. Patrick to represent the Christian belief of the Holy Trinity. For some the shamrock still holds true to this historic symbolism, while for others it represents some mere good luck. Which ever symbolic meaning you hold true to, there is no denying the beauty of this 3-leaf green! The green wearing routine that also accompanies St. Patty’s day is a tradition which is deeply rooted in the land and vegetation of Ireland and the fact that it has undoubtedly earned its name as the Emerald Isle! Almost anything relating to Ireland is usually associated with the color green! Below I have compiled a few festive accessories that can go a long way this St. Patty’s day, but however you choose to celebrate this year, I am hoping the luck of the Irish finds all of you in good health and good company.
